Tony Rothberg
Tony came to yoga in 1988 and has been teaching over 12 years. He has a personal commitment and dedication to yoga and has studied with the founder, Mr BKS Iyengar in Pune, India. Tony has developed an excellent rapport with his students and has a particular interest in working with people to assist them with, for example dancers, musicians, and people with sporting backgrounds, Richmond Football Club and other professions.

Shaun Gardener
After practising Tai Chi for 2 years he began doing Yoga on recommendation from a relative . Shaun has been practising Yoga for twenty years and completed a 2 year teacher training course at Clifton Hill Yoga studio. Having made a living as a musician and composer he feels that Yoga and Music are complimentary. Shaun has always found himself drawn to Eastern Philosophy and having experienced the benefits of Yoga first hand feels compelled to share it with others.

Melanie Mackintosh (Maternity Leave)
Melanie was first compelled to commence yoga in 2000 to assist with the management of unexplained lower back pain. Having rectified this complaint through her regular yoga practice, Melanie is strongly committed to assisting others to realise the benefits of yoga in addressing issues of the bodymind. In 2006, Melanie completed her teacher training in traditional Hatha style yoga with the Australian Yoga Academy. Melanie enjoys working both with yoga therapy clients, on a one-to-one basis, and leading general group classes. Melanie is also currently studying to be a Naturopath and Herbalist.

Annabel Harkin
Originally from Sydney and now a very happy Melbournite, Annabel started practising yoga in 1999 as a way of maintaining flexibility and building strength. Since then she has discovered that a regular yoga practice can offer both those things and so much more. Having recently completed her teaching training at the Australian Yoga Academy, Annabel is keen to assist her students to achieve their own yoga goals and enjoy all the benefits that come with the integration of body, breath and mind.

Clayton Clent
Clayton has been practicing a variety of Buddhist meditation techniques for more than 5 years. His Thai Vipassana practice strongly influences his teaching. He has extensive knowledge of the benefits of a regular meditation practice and the techniques for overcoming hurdles to a regular practice.

Jai Tao
Tao discovered yoga as a means of maintaining balance and flexibility whilst pursuing a career as a professional fighter. After sustaining an injury in 2005, yoga served as a rehabilitative system, and it was from there that Tao began to deepen his understanding of yoga and discover its genuine importance for the modern human being. Tao considers yoga to be a universal practice exploring the science of mind and body. With that in mind, Tao brings a ‘Power Flow” style of Vinyasa yoga designed to awaken the body and invigorate energy. The classes are challenging yet enjoyable, and are suited to all levels.
